Program Overview


Self-defender Program

This program of study develops in a person the basic "aiki" essence. It will guide the student to improve their overall fitness while learning a skill, Aikido self-defense. A minimum of 312 hours of practice (approximately 2 years) is required in order to complete the program and culminates with the bestowing of rank at graduation. Academics include the reading and study of two books and a notebook for handouts.


Protector Program

Prerequisite: completion of the Self-Defender Program with 75% or higher.

This program is designed to further inculcate the "aiki" attitude in the student while giving advanced Aikido self-defense methods and techniques. A minimum of 224 hrs., 256 hrs., 288 hrs., and 320 hrs., are required for each of the 4 successive levels in order to complete this program and culminated with the bestowing of rank at graduation. Required academics include the reading and study of one book and notebook for handouts.


Teaching Program

Prerequisite: completion of the Self-Defender Program with 85% or higher average.

This program of study is designed for the person who is highly motivated to teach Aikido to others. There are 8 levels of study, each requiring many, many hours of study and practice. This program culminates with the bestowing of rank as well as certification as a teacher at graduation. Inquire for further details.
